The Furies....John Stewart and the Furies was the name of his first ever group.

Bernie Fuchs....painted the portrait of John on the sleeve of ''Sunstorm''.

''Green Grasses''....the first John Stewart song to be recorded by the Kingston Trio back in 1959.
Dave Guard....founder member of the Kingston Trio..whom John replaced.
Voyle Gilmore....producer of the Kingston Trio's albums on Capitol..and also ''Signals Through the Glass".

Highway 101....there ain't no wild horses out on that road nowadays.
''Harkin....John wrote the script for that film (which is about the Depression in the 30's dustbowls / Woody Guthrie /  Grapes of Wrath stuff) and hopes it may get further than his manuscript one of these days..the title song of the             ''Sunstorm'' album was from that film script.
The Handdkerchief Brothers....would you believe that in his distant youth John was one half of a comedy duo of that name? He was!

The Lovin' Spoonful....John played guitar ("merely as a session guy'', he says) when they recorded his song ''Never Goin' Back" on their final album.
''The Last Campaign''....a song about Robert Kennedy's Presidential campaign..Also the working title of his next album.

Mill Valley....a township in Marin County, over the Bridge from San Francisco, where John and Buffy live.
Arnie Moore....Johh's long time friend and bass player in his current backing group.
Mt. San Antonio Jnr. College...John was a student there.
Scott McKenzie....John, John Phillips and he nearly teamed up to form a gronup..Howdever, Scott wouldn't come out of his hotel room so John stayed a little longer in the Kingston Trio.
