Very good song, no wonder John liked it so
much.
Downstrum (D) (D4) (D) (D2) (D4) (D) Downstrum (A)
(D) (D4) (D) (D2) (D4) (D5) Downstrum (A)
(D) (D4) (D) (D2) (D4) (D) Downstrum (A)
(D) (D4) (D) (D2) (D4) (D5) Downstrum (A)
(D)I
can see my (G)teenage wine, (A)dripping through my (D)hands,
And running (D/C#)off
my (Bm)boot-tops, (Bm/A)
like a (Em)woman
(G)from a (A)man.
(D)I
recall the (G)summer breezes, (A)blowing through my (D)hair,
How I´d (D/C#)spend
a (Bm)dollar, (Bm/A)
when I (Em)had
a (G)few to (A)spare.
But (Bm)things
are not so (A)simple now (Bm)as they were back (A)then,
With (Bm)each
thing new that (A)I must (D)do, there´s (Em)something (G)that
must (A)end.
Now (G)other
faces (A)look at me, oh, and (D)what they say is (G)real, (G/F#)
(Em)I
can see the (A)turning of the (D)wheel. (D4) (D) (D2) (D4) (D) Downstrum (A)
(D) (D4) (D) (D2) (D4) (D5) Downstrum (A)
(D)I
can hear the (G)morning thunder, (A)driving into (D)town
And I can (D/C#)smell
the (Bm)raindrops, (Bm/A)
as they (Em)wash
the (G)factory (A)down.
And (D)honey,
oh, I (G)love you, and I´m (A)glad for all we (D)did,
I don´t re(D/C#)gret
the (Bm)wedding (Bm/A)rings,
and I (Em)don´t
re(G)gret the (A)kid.
But (Bm)playing
on the (A)radio is a (Bm)song
we used to (A)sing,
(Bm)Thinking
we´re for(A)ever young, (D) ap(Em)art from (G)every
(A)thing.
(G)Looking
back on (A)yesterday, oh, and (D)how I used to (G)feel, (G/F#)
(Em)I
can see the (A)turning of the (D)wheel. (D4) (D) (A)
(D)Oh, (A/C#)oh, (Bm)oh, (A)oh, the (Em)turning (A)of the (D)wheel,
Oh, (A/C#)oh, (Bm)oh, (A)oh, the (Em)turning (G)of the (A)wheel.
(G)Looking
back on (A)yesterday, oh, and (D)how I used to (G)feel, (G/F#)
(Em)I
can see the (A)turning of the (D)wheel. (D4) (D) (D2) (D4) (D) Downstrum (A)
(D) (D4) (D) (D2) (D4) (D5) Downstrum (A)
(Bm) (A) (Bm) (A) (Bm) (A) (D) (Em) (G) (A)
As (G)days turn
into (A)yearbooks now, the (D)only thing that´s (G)real (G/F#)
Be(Em)tween us is the (A)turning of the (D)wheel.
(Em) I can see the (A)turning of the (D)wheel, (D4) (D) (D2) (D4) (D) Downstrum (A)
(Em) I
can see the (A)turning of the (D)wheel, (D4) (D) (D2) (D4) (D) Downstrum (A)
(Em) I
can see the (A)turning of the (D)wheel. (D4) (D) (D2) (D4) (D) Downstrum (A)
(D) (D4) (D) (D2) (D4) (D5) Downstrum (A)
(D) (D4) (D) (D2) (D4) (D) Downstrum (A)
(D) (D4) (D) (D2) (D4) (D5) Downstrum (A) (D)
