John Stewart at Compton Terrace

Compton Terrace : Named for the late William Edward Compton, program director for KDKB-FM 
Radio in Phoenix.  Bill Compton was a tastemaker, friend of Stewart and promoter of John's music 
as well as having been a national influence on free form album radio at the time.  He was killed in 
an auto accident about two years previous to the opening of the concert venue.  Compton Terrace 
was attached to an old west theme amusement park; Legend City in Phoenix.  John Stewart opened 
the show with Stevie Nicks as headliner.  Jesse Nicks (Stevie's dad) owned Compton Terrace.
